My Background
I’m a music producer, songwriter and recording engineer, and the founder of Creation X Recording.
My life in music began as a songwriter, performer and recording artist. Over more than 25 years, I have worked across many different sides of the creative process. That experience has shaped the way I produce today: I understand what it feels like to be on the other side of the glass, trying to turn an idea, an emotion or a half-finished song into something complete that genuinely represents the artist.
Through Creation X, I have worked with bands, solo artists and songwriters at different stages of their careers, helping them develop songs, performances and productions from the earliest ideas through to the finished recording. Depending on what each project needs, my work can involve songwriting, arrangement, vocal production, recording, engineering, artist development and full music production.
Over the years, I have worked on projects involving artists, writers and producers including Simon “Barny” Barnicott, Guy Chambers, Pascal Gabriel, Paul Statham, Tim Cox, Tony McGuinness and Laurence Hobbs.
My songwriting credits include co-written work with Richard Navarro, Chris Constantinou and Kean Harris plus production and engineering credits include Lindsay Batty Smith featuring Keziah, Veronica Drozdowski also known as Vera Lis, One Eyed Man, The Tim Shez Band and many more independent artists.
In 2020, I designed and built Creation X Recording as a professional hybrid analogue and digital studio in Berkshire. The studio and my work have since been featured by Mix and Working Class Audio.
I am a member of the Music Producers Guild and The Ivors Academy, as well as PRS for Music, MCPS and PPL.
For me, production is never about forcing an artist into a particular sound. It is about listening closely, understanding what makes them distinctive and helping them create the strongest and most honest version of their music.
